Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Shenandoah, IA. This position requires circulating OR duties and at least 2 years of OR experience, with ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications.

Assignment details include 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, dayshift, 8-hour shifts, and a travel RN employment type. On-site hospital setting with multiple OR suites and collaborative surgical team support.

Qualifications

• Active IA or compact RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years OR nursing experience with circulating duties, 3 years preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Ambulatory OR and general OR experience required.
• Experience with ENT, Endo, GYN, podiatry, and Orthopaedic procedures preferred.
• First time travelers will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Operating Room setting with four OR suites.
• Ambulatory OR and general OR cases including Ortho, GYN, Urology, General, Cataracts, Pain injections, ENT, and OB.
• Daily caseload of 5-10 surgical patients.
• Day shifts, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.
• Call rotation required with every 3rd weekend and 1-2 weekday on-call shifts as scheduled.
• Altera EMR experience preferred but not required.
• Responsibilities include circulating for a variety of surgical specialties.
• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary surgical team.
• Participation in call rotation including some weekend and weekday coverage.
• Scrub attire per standard OR dress code.
• Candidates with Altera EMR experience are preferred.

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
