ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Burlington, Vermont. The assignment includes 16 weeks at 36 hours per week with 12-hour rotating shifts in a Level I trauma facility.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of OR RN experience, EPIC proficiency within the past two years, and a current BLS certification. Travel experience and scrub/circulating skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of operating room RN experience in trauma Level 1 facilities.
• EPIC experience within the last two years is mandatory.
• Ability to circulate and scrub, with skills checklists available in the application packet.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Rotating ShiftsAssignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The role involves rotating between day and evening schedules, typically comprising three-day shifts plus one off shift. The off shift options are 0845-1915, 1045-2115, or 1245-2315. Additionally, one weekday call per week and one 24-hour call in each four-week schedule block will be required. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary to meet unit needs and provide optimal patient care.

Job Description

We seek a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with prior travel experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of operating room experience in a large (500+ beds) trauma Level 1 facility and be proficient with EPIC from within the past two years.

Responsibilities

• Utilize strong surgical skills in General Operating Room procedures and multiple specialties including orthopedic, urological, oncology, Da Vinci Robotics, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular, and trauma.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort through skilled nursing practices in the operating room.
• Maintain effective communication with surgical teams and patients.
• Participate in continual learning and skill development as per unit requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of prior Operating Room RN experience in trauma Level 1 facilities.
• EPIC experience is mandatory and nonnegotiable.
• Ability to circulate and scrub, with skills checklists available in the application packet.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
