Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel assignment in Lewiston, ME. The role covers general, trauma, bariatrics, vascular, ENT, gynecology, neuro and ortho surgeries in a busy OR, with a 12-hour rotating schedule and weekend call.

Expect 36 hours per week, shifts 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, start 10/05/2026 for 13 weeks. Robotics experience is a plus; EPIC and Omnicell are used for charting and supply management.

Qualifications

• RN license and BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized surgical care across multiple OR specialties.
• Assist in general, trauma, bariatrics, vascular, ENT, gynecology, neuro and orthopedics cases.
• Rotate weekend and weeknight call shifts; participate in 24/7 coverage as needed.

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) registered nurse position located in Lewiston, ME. This role involves working in a busy OR environment, providing specialized surgical care across multiple specialties, including general, trauma, bariatrics, vascular, ENT, gynecology, neuro, and orthopedics. The position offers a mixed schedule requiring weekend and weeknight call rotations, with shifts scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, and is suitable for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room. The contract begins on 10/05/2026 and concludes on 01/04/2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:30 PM), minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, 2 years of experience in general OR, trauma, bariatrics, vascular, ENT, gynecology, neuro, or orthopedic surgery.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotics is advantageous.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit includes advanced equipment such as robotics, microscopes, laser devices, OR tables/beds, navigation systems for craniotomy, and DaVinci robotic systems.
  • Facility utilizes EPIC and Omnicell electronic health record systems.
  • The patient population is diverse, including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients.
  • The role entails rotating weekend and weeknight call shifts with required call coverage during evenings and weekends.
  • Scrub attire is provided in navy blue.
