Job summary
Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse - Oncology for a 13-week travel assignment in Ukiah, California. You will provide direct oncology nursing care in an outpatient clinic inside a short-term acute care hospital, with a 40-hour workweek on a day shift (4x10s) and rotating schedule.
Required CA RN license, BLS, ONS, ONCC-CHIM, 2–3 years oncology experience; BSN preferred. Healthforce offers 24/7 travel support, fast credentialing, and extension opportunities.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California.
- BLS or CPR certification from an approved vendor.
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification.
- ONCC-CHIM or equivalent oncology certification.
- 2–3 years of oncology nursing experience.
- BSN preferred; outpatient clinic setting; strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to oncology outpatients using the nursing process.
- Administer prescribed therapies and supportive care, monitor patient responses and document care.
- Collect patient data, develop care plans, coordinate with physicians and care team; educate patients and families.
- Prepare patient, room and equipment for procedures; assist with minor procedures; participate in discharge planning.
