Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Oncology RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. You will provide specialized nursing care to cancer patients in hospital and clinical settings while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires one year of Oncology RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS certification. Preferred certifications include OCN and ACLS, with licensure reimbursement and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Oncology RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about oncology procedures and treatments.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per oncology nursing techniques.
• Monitor comfort, safety, and side effects; implement interventions to improve quality of life.
• Record detailed nursing assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in medical records.
• Respond to life-saving situations following oncology standards and protocols.
• Develop education plans for cancer patients and families including treatment regimens and self-care.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines and regulatory standards.
