Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an Oncology RN.
- Valid RN license in Illinois.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- Preferred: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
Responsibilities
- Educate patients and families about oncology procedures and treatments.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Prepare and maintain oncology equipment.
- Monitor patients' comfort, safety, and side effects.
- Document nursing assessments and patient outcomes.
- Respond to life-saving situations per oncology standards.
- Develop education plans for patients and families.
- Participate in oncology quality improvement initiatives.
