Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks an Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for travel assignments in Boston, MA. The role provides specialized oncology care in hospitals and outpatient centers, coordinating cancer treatments and educating patients.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license; oncology experience and OCN certification are preferred. This 40-hour/week travel position offers competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state practicing.
• One year of experience in oncology nursing preferred
• OCN certification preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, implements and documents nursing care for the oncology patient population under the direction of the physician.
• Works in hospitals and outpatient care centers where patients receive cancer treatments.
• In hospital settings, assists with surgery prep, patient education and coordination of their cancer treatments.
• In outpatient care center settings, helps with treatments such as chemotherapy and infusions while monitoring patients’ vitals, side effects, and pain.
