Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PCU RN for a mixed acuity Oncology unit in Rapid City, SD, with night shifts and a preference for chemotherapy certification. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, and includes 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend rotation.

Ideal candidates have active SD RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, NIHSS, and chemotherapy certification if possible. The role offers travel rewards, per diem, and a traveler-friendly environment with potential extensions.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility through the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification is required.
• ONS Chemotherapy Certification preferred; required to hang chemo if certified.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Oncology unit with PCU/Telemetry and MedSurg populations.
• Handle chemotherapy infusions and oncology patient care.
• Manage telemetry monitoring and vasoactive drips.
• RN ratio is 1:4 on days and nights; float to related inpatient units.
• Document in Epic and use Alaris/Omnicell equipment.
• Support staff include CNAs, charge nurse, and phlebotomy; participate in traveler rotations.
