American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele oncology unit in Columbus, Ohio. Requires 2 years of RN experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and ability to interpret dysrhythmias; schedule includes 12-hour days with 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Active OH or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Current BCLS certification
• Epic EMR experience
• Experience interpreting dysrhythmias and ABGs
• Experience with arterial lines, central and PICC line management, blood product administration, and port access
• Able to start IVs and assist with chest tube insertion/removal
• Experience with HFNC
• Oncology experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele oncology unit patient care
• Care for patients undergoing chemotherapy and related diagnostics
• Continuous cardiac monitoring
• Nurse-to-patient ratio 1:4
• Operate GE telemetry, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds, bladder scanner
• Provide infection prevention and fall reduction
• Manage comorbidities related to cancer and treatment
• Orientation to equipment will be provided
• Follow institutional infection control and patient safety protocols

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele oncology unit, requiring 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Med/Surg Tele oncology unit
• Patient population includes individuals undergoing chemotherapy, diagnostic services, and symptom management for soft tissue malignancies
• Continuous cardiac monitoring for patients, often related to chemotherapy
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4
• Uses GE B450 telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds, and bladder scanner
• Both day (7:00-19:30) and night (19:00-7:30) 12-hour shifts available
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Responsibilities include providing specialized care to oncology patients with a focus on infection prevention and fall reduction
• Role involves management of comorbidities related to cancer and its treatment
• Orientation to specific equipment such as GE telemetry, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds will be provided
• Must adhere to institutional protocols for infection control and patient safety
