Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel assignment in Lawton, OK. The OTA will work under an Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, improve, or regain daily living skills, following tailored treatment plans and facility guidelines.

Requirements include 1 year of OTA experience, current BLS, and NBCOT (COTA) certification with state licensure. The role emphasizes patient safety, documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OTA experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• NBCOT (COTA) certification required; state licensure required

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions under the supervising OT
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT
• Document patient performance and progress per guidelines
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training and adaptive equipment
• Educate patients and families on daily living techniques
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support coordinated care
• Comply with state licensing rules and facility/professional standards
