Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapist for an immediate assignment in Santa Fe, NM. This 15-week contract offers 35 hours per week, with a 7-hour daily shift schedule in a travel setting.

The OT will evaluate patients, develop a care plan, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in the acute care environment. Candidates should have NBCOT-OTR, BLS, and active state licensure; 6 months of experience may be accepted for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history and observe tasks to assess needs.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and develop a plan of care.
• Create treatment plans with goals and activities to improve daily living skills.
• Assess home or workplace for adaptations to support independence.
• Educate family and employer on accommodating the patient.
• Document progress and ensure billing and physician reporting requirements.
• Provide timely documentation following state and insurance guidelines.
