Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Oxnard, California. The OT will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and help improve daily living activities in the acute care setting.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of OT experience (1 year preferred), BLS and NBCOT-OTR with state licensing. Travel entails 40 hours per week, day shift, 8-hour shifts, and standard travel benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months OT experience; exceptional candidates may have 6 months or more.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR with state licensing required.
• OTs should be able to stand, walk long periods, and use anatomical knowledge in clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop plans of care to improve daily living skills.
• Perform evaluations to identify patient needs and goals.
• Create and adjust treatment plans and activities to meet goals.
• Educate patients, families and employers on care and accommodations.
• Document patient progress clearly for evaluations and billing.
