Job Summary

Occupational Therapist Inpatient (Acute Care) provides occupational therapy services for patients in an acute care setting, including assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, and progress evaluation. The role supports general medical and some pediatric patients while maintaining accurate documentation, collaborating with the healthcare team, and following applicable professional practice standards. Temporary and temp-to-permanent opportunities are available.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy; active Occupational Therapist licensure in Florida; at least 1 year of acute care experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association; intermediate computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
• Schedule: Day shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., scheduled for 40 hours per week. The schedule is primarily weekdays and may be flexed to accommodate an occasional weekend shift.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include conducting occupational therapy evaluations and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, providing treatment appropriate to patient age and clinical needs, educating patients and members of the healthcare team, documenting services accurately and timely, maintaining an organized therapeutic environment, and coordinating care with interdisciplinary team members.
