Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The therapist will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and work in acute care settings with a focus on daily living skills.

The position is 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, for 13 weeks, starting 01/04/2027, with travel-driven requirements. Candidates need 1 year of OT experience (6 months may be accepted for exceptional backgrounds) and must hold BLS and NBCOT-OTR licenses.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OT experience; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be accepted.
• Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR national certification with state licensing.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) for an immediate travel opening in Marshfield, WI. OT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

As an OT, you will be responsible for the evaluation and development of a plan of care for a variety of patients needing to improve, regain and develop skills needed for daily life. You will work in disabled, ill or injured patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

As an OT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Review patients' medical history, ask the patients questions, and observe them doing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan for patients, identifying specific goals and the types of activities that will be used to help the patient work toward those goals.
• Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and, on the basis of the patient's health needs, identify potential improvements.
• Educate a patient's family and employer about how to accommodate and care for the patient.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use that equipment.
• Assess and record patient's activities and progress for patient evaluations, for billing, and for reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.

Occupational Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. OTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
