Critical Connection, inc is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Hermiston, Oregon. The Hand Therapist will evaluate and treat upper extremity conditions, develop individualized plans, and fabricate custom orthoses.

The role requires licensed OT in the state, with CHT preferred, and 1–2 years of hand therapy experience. Outpatient/orthopedic focus, 8-hour days, 40 hours per week, travel stipend possible.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT in Oregon.
• CHT certification preferred or eligible.
• 1–2 years hand therapy/outpatient ortho experience.
• Strong knowledge of upper extremity anatomy.
• Experience with splint fabrication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity conditions including post-surgical cases, fractures, tendon injuries, nerve injuries, and chronic conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and clinical findings
• Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints for various diagnoses
• Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to improve function and reduce pain
• Educate patients on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and recovery expectations
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Hand Therapist to join our team. This role specializes in the evaluation and treatment of conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and a passion for helping patients regain function, mobility, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with splint fabrication highly preferred
