TotalMed Allied in Savoy, IL seeks a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) for a 13-week assignment. You will work under an OT to help patients improve daily living skills, with 35 hours per week and days shifts. Immediate opening requiring 1 year of OTA experience.

The OTA will implement tailored treatment plans, monitor progress, and document outcomes while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. State licensure is required, and BLS/NBCOT certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• State licensure required for the state of Illinois; NBCOT (COTA) certification is preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT for adjustments to the treatment plan.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and timely per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

We're looking for Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) for an immediate travel opening in Savoy, IL. The right OTA should have 1 year of experience. Read below for more requirements.

As a OTA, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients of all ages develop, improve, or recover the skills needed for daily living and working. You will assist in implementing treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals and functional abilities.

As an OTA, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.

Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. The ideal candidate must hold a current BLS and COTA National certification. State-specific licensure is required.

OTAs should be able to lift and assist patients safely, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and possess a solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.
