Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for an assignment in Ahoskie, North Carolina. This role requires one year of OTA experience, current BLS and COTA National certification, and state licensure.

You will work under an OT to implement tailored treatment plans for patients of all ages and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The position offers 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, and a tax-free stipend is to be determined.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

We’re looking for Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) for an immediate travel opening in Ahoskie, NC. The right OTA should have 1 year of experience. Read below for more requirements. Requirements

• The ideal candidate must hold a current BLS and COTA National certification. State-specific licensure is required.
• OTAs should be able to lift and assist patients safely, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and possess a solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.
• BLS, NBCOT (COTA).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
