Job Summary:

Occupational Therapist (OT) Inpatient in a general acute care facility. This role involves providing individualized occupational therapy treatment to patients of all ages with diverse diagnoses, including orthopedic, neurological, and medical disorders. The therapist must evaluate complex and medically unstable patients, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and manage a dynamic caseload in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour days, generally Monday through Friday, with weekends required once a month, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); at least 0 years of related experience or training; valid license to practice as an occupational therapist.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult inpatients, complex medical cases, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Additional Information: Inpatient occupational therapy including evaluations, treatment interventions, team conferences, modalities if able to perform, documentation, and FIMs. Access to computerized charting in EPIC and specialized equipment such as UE Bioness and Dynavision. Orientation will include 1-2 days of training focused on documentation and department-specific procedures. The position requires flexibility, critical thinking, and effective communication to coordinate patient care, manage high caseloads, and adapt to a fluctuating hospital environment.
