Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school.
• Hold a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and have passed the NBCOT exam.
• Minimum one year of professional experience.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Current CPR certification.
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility.

Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist / OT is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services, providing direct patient care to evaluate medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and potential for rehabilitation.

Additionally, the Occupational Therapist / OT will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals tailored to the patient’s capacity and tolerance.

• Develop a plan of care for each occupational therapy patient.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, plan for, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
