We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) for an immediate travel opening in Wauconda, IL. OT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with the appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe patients performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan for patients, identifying specific goals and the types of activities to help achieve those goals.
• Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and identify potential improvements based on health needs.
• Educate a patient's family and employer about how to accommodate and care for the patient.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use that equipment.
• Assess and record patient's activities and progress for patient evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Occupational Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend/lean/stoop without difficulty, and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Requirements*: BLS, NBCOT (OTR), 1 Year. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
