Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Roswell, New Mexico. The role is 40 hours per week, days shift, with an emphasis on patient evaluation, treatment planning, and education for patients and families.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of OT experience (1 year preferred), BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification, and state licensing. New grads are welcome to apply. This travel opportunity offers weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• OTs must be able to stand and walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• BLS, NBCOT (OTR), 6 Months* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Review patients’ medical history, ask questions, and observe tasks.
• Evaluate a patient’s condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with goals and activities.
• Help people with disabilities perform tasks.
• Evaluate home or workplace and identify improvements.
• Educate family and employer on caregiving accommodations.
• Recommend equipment and instruct use of equipment.
• Assess and record activities and progress for evaluations and billing.
• Provide timely documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
