Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Gainesville, FL. The OT will evaluate and plan care for patients, and educate families and employers on accommodations.

The role requires at least 1 year of OT experience, BLS, NBCOT-OTR, and state licensure; new grads are welcome to apply. The position involves 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts in the acute care setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OT experience required; new grads encouraged to apply.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification with state licensing required.
• Ability to stand/walk long periods and understand anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' condition and needs; develop a plan of care.
• Review medical history and observe patients performing tasks.
• Educate patients, families, and employers on care needs and accommodations.
• Develop treatment plans with specific goals and activities to reach them.
• Assess home/work environments for improvements and safety.
• Document patient progress following guidelines for billing and reporting to physicians.
