Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Ob/Gyn Sonographer for a 13-week assignment in Jamaica Plain, MA, working 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week. The role requires ARDMS, BLS, and state licensing as applicable, with travel duties and patient education as core tasks.

Responsibilities include performing ultrasound procedures, assisting radiologists, maintaining equipment, and keeping precise records. Prior travel experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ultrasound technologist experience.
• BLS and ARDMS certification, and state licensing where required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or family about procedures performed.
• Use sonographic equipment to identify areas of concern.
• Prepare exam room and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and biopsies.
• Report abnormalities to medical staff promptly.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report malfunctions.
• Conduct scans and write reports based on results.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
