Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) Registered Nurse position in a short-term acute care facility located in an urban setting. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on stroke, cardiac, and post-procedure recovery. The position requires a commitment to a night shift schedule and the ability to float between units as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 3x12 Night shifts, 12 hours each, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active licenses in applicable states, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications, at least 2 years of telemetry experience with stroke, cardiac, or neuro care background, familiarity with post cardiac catheterization care, and EPIC charting experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a community hospital or LTAC, neuro/spine care, general surgery, wound management, and COVID-19 or oral surgery background.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to medical-surgical units and intensive care units as needed.
• Additional Information: The unit handles adult and geriatric patient populations, with a daily census of approximately 29 patients. Telemetry monitoring is performed both on-unit and remotely, with a patient ratio typically around 1:4 to 1:6. The role involves managing cardiac drips, dysrhythmias, wound care, and post-procedure patient monitoring. Orientation includes 24 hours of initial training, and compliance deadlines involve timely certification and module completion.
