Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) registered nurses are needed for an upcoming assignment in a healthcare facility setting. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac monitoring needs, including telemetry monitoring and managing acute and chronic medical conditions. The role requires a commitment to patient safety, effective communication, and adherence to established clinical protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, every other weekend, with first to float. Shifts available are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), at least 2 years of nursing experience, Cerner proficiency preferred, and experience with telemetry monitoring is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with acute and chronic medical conditions, post-surgical patients including total joints, and familiarity with various diagnoses such as urology, gynecology, podiatry, and general surgery.
• Additional Information: This unit cares for a diverse patient population, including potential stroke patients. Nurses must be comfortable interpreting telemetry strips, including from Philips brand monitors. The unit operates with a house supervisor presence 24/7, and nurses are expected to read and interpret telemetry strips. There are no vents on this unit; Cpap or Bipap equipment may be used based on orders. The orientation period involves 1-2 shifts with a preceptor.
