2nd floor, 25 private-bed unit - (23 beds of floor, 2 Medical Decision Unit beds). Patient population: COPD with exacerbation, CHF, heavy emphasis on swing bed (average stay is 12 days) to keep patients local and care for patients with amputations, wound care, long term antibiotics, etc. There are some postpartum and pediatric patients on this unit. Ratio: 1:4, with 1:5 being a stretch.
