Job summary

Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Boston, MA. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour nights, weekends and holidays rotation in a Level 1 trauma center IMCU/Stepdown unit.

Unit houses postoperative patients from cardiothoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, trauma and transplant services on 38 beds with typical ratios of 1:3–1:4. Travel experience preferred; local rate applies within 50 miles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years recent acute care experience.
• Must have surgical stepdown experience at a Level 1 trauma center.
• IMCU/Stepdown experience required.
• Able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips.
• Tele test and CC Med test on day 1.
• Preferred: tertiary facility experience.

LOCAL VS TRAVEL: TALENT WHO RESIDE LESS THAN 50 MILES FROM THE FACILITY WILL BE AT A LOCAL RATE

*Previous Perm Staff, not eligible to be submitted as travelers*

Required Exp: 2+ years recent acute care experience,

**MUST HAVE SURGICAL STEPDOWN EXPERIENCE AT A LEVEL 1 TRAUMA CENTER**

IMCU/Stepdown experience, auto med dispensing and more than 1 previous travel assignment.

Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips.

Tele test and CC Med test on day 1.

Preferred Exp: Tertiary facility experience.

Unit sees post-operative patients requiring intermediate care transferred from PACU or SICU and includes cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, trauma, and transplant patients.

38 beds with an average patient ratio of 1:3, 1:4 or 1:4-5 if MedSurg patients.
