Prime Time Healthcare Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN Stepdown in Omaha, NE. Role involves 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, 13-week duration, with floating to related units as needed. Requires 1 year of RN experience, strong PCU/Oncology background preferred, and active Nebraska RN license.

Orientation and pass/fail exam are part of the onboarding process. The unit is Step Down/PCU/IMC (5 North - PCU Oncology) within a Level 1 Trauma Center, with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Lyko

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Strong PCU experience preferred (Oncology preferred).
• Active state license required at submittal.
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required.
• ONS/ONCC Chemo Certification preferred (not required).

  • Level 1 Trauma Center
• Beds:
  • 18 beds
• Patient Types / Common Diagnoses:
  • Adult Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU patients
• Patient Ratios:
  • Days: 1:4-1:5
  • Nights: 1:4-1:5
• Shifts & Scheduling:
  • 12-hour shifts (0630-1900 / 1830-0700)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Self-scheduling (balanced based on unit needs)
• EMR & Equipment:
  • EMR: EPIC
  • IV Pumps: Alaris
  • Lift Equipment: Lyko lifts in even-numbered rooms, additional lift equipment available
• Floating Information:
  • Floats to other Med/Surg and PCU units (float assignments remain at the same level of care)
• Orientation & Testing Requirements:
  • Two days of unit orientation
  • Pass/Fail Exam: Open-book exam on skills learned given on Friday during orientation (must score 90%+ to pass or contract will be terminated)
