Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Psychiatric for a travel nursing job in Tacoma, Washington, to support the Behavioral Health unit with skilled psychiatric care. You will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, for a 15-week assignment, in a travel role.

Requirements include 3 years of psych RN experience (with at least 2 years inpatient), blood draws, medication passes, de-escalation techniques, EMR proficiency, and ability to run groups. BLS and CPI/MOAB are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of psychiatric RN experience required, with at least 2 years inpatient psych.
• Blood draw, medications passes, and de-escalation techniques required.
• EMR experience and run groups; documentation proficient.
• BLS certification; CPI or MOAB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Behavioral Health unit.
• Administer medications and perform blood draws.
• Document care in the EMR and participate in seclusion/ restraint protocols as needed.
