Job Summary

Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) located in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a qualified registered nurse (RN) with pediatric operative experience to support surgical procedures in a specialized pediatric or ambulatory setting. This position involves on-call responsibilities and requires adherence to strict clinical standards to ensure optimal patient care within a hospital environment dedicated to pediatric surgical services.

Job Details

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, days, Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities including one night per week, every 6-8 weekends, and as needed for holidays.
• Required Qualifications: Active Wisconsin RN license or a valid compact RN license, minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, pediatric operating room experience, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric trauma or ambulatory surgery is highly regarded.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have experience with advanced surgical procedures related to pediatric patients, including assistance during anesthesia induction, use of specialized surgical equipment, and familiarity with intraoperative monitoring and documentation protocols. Strict pass/fail telemetry interpretation testing is required prior to start, with two attempts allowed. The role requires floating as needed within the facility, and local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted.
