Job summary

The VIOS Clinic in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Travel Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to deliver specialized patient care in a fast-paced setting. You will monitor closely, manage medications (including IV therapies), and perform bedside procedures to stabilize cardiac patients.

  • 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong stress management and interpersonal skills to relate with diverse patients.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess patients requiring close observation but not ICU care.
  • Utilize electronic monitoring equipment to track vital signs and detect changes.
  • Administer, document, and adjust medications, including IV therapies.
  • Perform bedside procedures such as dressing changes, catheter insertions, and IV starts.
  • Respond promptly to adverse symptoms and initiate corrective actions.
  • Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
  • Handle complex medication management and operate specialized equipment.
