Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solution External in Farmington, NM seeks a Travel RN for PCU to join a 13-week assignment. You’ll work 12-hour nights; 36 hours weekly; unit includes telemetry and cardiac care.

Responsibilities include floating to PCU, Medical, Surgical, and Nephrology as needed; using Cerner EHR and Cardiology monitors; prior IMC or Cardiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ICU/IMC experience required; 2 years preferred.
• TNCC, BLS & ACLS (AHA) required.
• Cardiology or IMC experience preferred; float to units as needed.

• Float to PCU, Medical, Surgical, and Nephrology units as needed.
• Provide care for adult to geriatric patients with telemetry monitoring.
• Utilize Cerner EHR, IV pumps, and crash carts; manage titrating drips.

• Weekend Hours: Varies – Two week Pay period that starts on every other Monday and ends on Sunday shift.
• Call Requirements: NONE
• Required Certifications: TNCC, BLS & ACLS (Must be from American Heart Association)
• Years of Experience: 1 year but prefer 2 years IMC or Cardiology experience
• Float Requirements: Yes, Floating to any unit of need is expected.

• Additional Notes: Normal floating will be to PCU, Medical, Surgical, Nephrology.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: Day Shift and night shift IMC patients 1RN – 3 pts with active titrating drips; Day shift 1RN-4 pts IMC patients, Day shift -Med/Surg patients 1RN – 5-6 pts. Night shift 1RN-4-5 IMC patients, Night shift -Med/Surg patients 1RN – 5-6 pts.
• Equipment: Standard Cardiology monitoring equipment (Telemetry and T-1’s), IV pumps and Crash Carts on North and South.
• EHR: Cerner
• Supervisor: RN Manager
• Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: Adult to Geriatric age patients.

Hiring Profile:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Cardiology or IMC experience; 1 year but prefer 2 years IMC or Cardiology experience
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: IMC & Cardiac Care
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: STEMI, NonSTEMI, Stroke, Post Cath, ETOH
• Required Education: Associate Nursing or higher with state RN license
