Position Overview

The PACU is seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN with strong critical care skills to care for high-acuity adult and pediatric post-operative patients. Nurses must be comfortable with complex, fast-paced recovery environments in a large teaching hospital setting.

Required Experience

• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience
• 2+ years PACU experience (required)
• Must have high-acuity critical care PACU experience
• Critical care-level airway and hemodynamic assessment
• Experience in a large teaching hospital (required)
• Epic experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)

Certifications Required

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• Float required within peri-op/surgical areas
• Call required
• Weekend and holiday shifts determined by staffing needs
• No block scheduling is permitted
• Orientation occurs biweekly on Mondays
