Operating Room (OR) specialist in Hudson, FL. This position involves providing acute surgical support within a highly regarded hospital setting featuring a Level II Trauma Center. The role requires clinical expertise in a variety of orthopedic, trauma, robotic, and general surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to hospital policies.

Job Details

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, starting on 10/19/2026 and ending on 01/18/2027.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; 2 years of experience; ability to circulate in trauma, general, orthopedic, neurovascular procedures; located within commuting distance of Hudson, FL.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with total joint procedures, orthopedic trauma, robotic surgeries including bariatrics and urology, craniotomies, ENT, and plastics.
• Additional Information: The OR unit has 12 operating rooms including 2 cardiovascular operating rooms, staffed according to AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses) recommendations with support staff such as orderlies, anesthesia techs, and unit secretaries. Documentation is managed via Meditech. The unit operates 24-hour trauma services with varying shift schedules, including alternating weekends and on-call assignments. Floating policy is dependent on volume and skillset. The dress code requires provided uniforms for in-house use. The department has earned prestigious awards such as the 2023 Healthgrades awards for Orthopedic Surgery, Spine Surgery, and Vascular Surgery, along with other accolades for excellence. The unit prides itself on being traveler-friendly and welcoming to temporary staff.
