Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care seeks a Travel Operating Room (OR) Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team in Clovis, NM. The role involves assisting physicians and staff in surgical care, preparing instruments, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.

The RN will monitor equipment, support circulating/scrub roles as needed, and uphold high standards of post- and perioperative care. Travel experience, BLS, and physical stamina are required, with opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care OR experience required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to stand long hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Additional certifications are a plus.

Role:

Travel Operating Room (OR) Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities:

Assist physicians and staff in surgical care, provide pre- and post-surgery patient education, prepare instruments, monitor patient during procedures, handle specimens, manage surgical supplies, and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Additional Duties:

For circulating nurses - monitor equipment, respond to patient needs, and document care; for scrub nurses - handle surgical instruments and supplies; for RN first assistants - support surgeons with direct care, control bleeding, and suture.

Skills & Qualifications:

1-2 years recent acute care experience in OR, BLS certification, physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds, and potentially additional certifications.
