Hospitals require BLS; inpatient oncology and ONS chemo training are preferred. You will work with CNAs and a Charge RN to deliver safe, quality patient care and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient oncology nursing care in Medical Oncology unit.
• Assist with chemotherapy administration as per protocol.

• Number of Beds : 33
• Patient Ratios : 1:6
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Unit secretary on unit from 7 AM -11P
• 3 CNAs for 33 patients; Charge RN each shift; Clinical Manager and Director
• Type of equipment : Electronic white boards, iPhones with iMobile; remote telemetry
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: 36 hours and every other weekend as needed
• Floating policy: Travelers are first to float
• Patient Experience requirements: Hourly rounds on day shift; 2 hour rounds after 9 pm
