Summary: The Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, monitoring telemetry data, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high standards of safety and ethics.

Responsibilities include:

• Explaining procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administering medications and treatments according to standards
• Assessing and documenting patient conditions
• Preparing patients for diagnostics and assisting during treatments
• Maintaining a safe environment and documenting care
• Collaborating with healthcare teams and managing multiple patients
• Following infection control protocols and advocating for patients
• Facilitating discharge planning and other duties within scope

Qualifications:

• One year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience
• Valid RN license in state
• Current BLS certification

Preferred:

• NIHSS certification
• ACLS certification
• Additional certifications may be required
