Job Summary

Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse in the healthcare facility provides specialized care for adult neurology and neurosurgery patients on a neurological/neurological recovery unit. This position involves night shifts and requires experience in neurology patient care, with a focus on stroke and brain/spinal column conditions.

Job Details

• Certifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) License, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and no minimum years of experience required (candidate must have at least 2 years of Med Surg/Tele Acute Care experience with neurology patients).
• Education Requirements: Valid RN license.
• Location Requirements: Healthcare professional must be eligible to work in the specified location.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Clinical responsibilities include providing nursing care for stroke and neurology patients, managing conditions such as intracranial hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, Parkinsons disease, multiple sclerosis, ALS, seizures, and other brain or spinal column diseases.
• Additional information: Availability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed; call shifts are 2 (12-hour) shifts per 6-week schedule.
• Prior employment with any Johns Hopkins health system facility must be disclosed for verification. Candidates who have worked in any capacity within these facilities must have been away for at least one full year before applying as a traveler.
