American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with telemetry experience, CPI certification, and a SC or compact RN license for night shifts.

This travel assignment is based in Aiken, SC, with three 12-hour night shifts weekly on a Medical/Surgical unit using Cerner EMR, with no on-call requirements and a patient-focused care approach.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license in hand; no pending licenses accepted.
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient hospital nursing experience.
• At least 6 months of telemetry experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• CPI certification (NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training) required.
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• BSN is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Work on a Medical/Surgical inpatient unit with telemetry patients.
• Deliver care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week are required.
• Operate in a telemetered Cerner EMR environment.
• No on-call hours required.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
• Provide initial and ongoing patient assessment and documentation.
• Adhere to unit policies on admission assessments and care delivery.
• Assist with admission assessments as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Work is performed on a Medical/Surgical inpatient unit
• Unit cares for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week are required
• Telemetered environment with Cerner EMR in use
• No on-call hours required
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Responsible for initial and ongoing patient assessment and documentation
• Delivers age-appropriate, compassionate patient care based on assessment
• Participation in admission assessments is required according to policy
• Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this role
• Two manager or supervisor references from the last twelve months preferred, at least one from the most recent employer
• COVID and flu vaccination required if not medically contraindicated
• Scrubs or dress code requirements will be specified upon assignment
