Job summary

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Baltimore, Maryland. The RN will care for orthopedic and spinal surgery patients in a hospital setting, to cover a 13-week contract.

The role requires 2 years of nursing experience, at least one prior travel assignment, and orthopedics experience with post-op care. BLS and flu vaccine are required. Schedule is 07:00–19:30, 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience in nursing
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment
• Ortho experience preferred (Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total joint replacement, Surgical drains)
• BLS certification and flu vaccine required

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to orthopedic and spinal surgery patients.
• Monitor and manage post-operative patients including joint replacements and trauma.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and recovery.
• Document patient progress and care plans accurately.
