A leading travel nursing agency is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a position in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This role requires 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and includes responsibilities such as providing bedside care, administering medications, and patient education. The position offers a 36-hour work week with 12-hour night shifts. Candidates should have BLS certification and be prepared for a fast-paced environment. Job Description & Requirements

We’re looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Santa Fe, NM. The right RN should have 1‑2 years recent acute care experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of patients.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.

Medical Surgical Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times. RNs will work in a fast‑paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.

Requirements: BLS, 2 Years

Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
