HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Plano, Texas.

The role is 13 weeks long, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts in the Ortho Trauma Med/Surg unit at Medical City Plano. Weekend commitments apply. Ideal candidates have Med/Surg RN experience, orthopedics and trauma exposure, and the ability to work across units.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas.
• Experience in Med/Surg required.
• Ortho/trauma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside RN care on the Med/Surg unit.
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and document in the EMR.
• Collaborate with the care team to maintain patient safety and quality care.
• Adhere to unit policies and participate in shift handoffs.

• PatientRatios– 1:5 We do flex to 6
• Type of equipment -Tele
• EMR - Meditech

Preferred or nice to have:candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Ortho and/or Traumapatient Experience

List typical procedures performed/ Common Diagnoseson unit(s):

• Polytrauma pts, Non-surgical cervicalfxscleared by spine, ortho, trauma w/ downgraded TBI, no more than 3 drains, burn downgrades.
• Heparin and Protonix drips.
