Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Tacoma, Washington. This role requires 48 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts and a 15-week assignment starting 10/25/2026. The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery and relevant certifications.

Unit is Birth Center - Meal Relief Team with opportunities to gain Epic experience. Benefits include weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and a variety of medical and retirement

Qualifications

• High acuity OB experience and labor management required.
• Triage OB patients and delivery-related responsibilities.
• Proficiency in reading fetal monitoring strips and OR circulation.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal breaks as primary role.
• Experience required: 2 years; strong travelers considered.
• Floating within L&D: Antepartum, postpartum, and occasional other units.

Experience Required: 2 years of exp. is required. May consider a 1st time traveler with strong experience.

Certs Required: BLS, NRP, Intermediate FHM (AWHONN)

Skills Required: High acuity experience: labor management and delivery of high risk OB patients, ability to triage OB patients, circulate in OR, cervical checks, reading/interpreting fetal monitoring strips; second set of hands (receive and recover normal newborn as needed) EPIC experience is required

Floating: Antepartum (within L & D) , postpartum (4th floor) (occasionally), additional assignments within scope and experience
