TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Kalispell, Montana.

Unit: LDRP with 5 labor rooms, 8 postpartum rooms; schedule features 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts, and a 13-week travel assignment. Two years of LDRP experience, MT or Compact license, ACLS, BLS, and NRP are required. Floating is to NICU/pediatrics as needed; self scheduling with a 6-week cycle.

MANAGER INTERVIEW
Unit Information:
Beds: 5 labor rooms, 8 postpartum rooms, 1 OB OR, 1 triage room
2-3 deliveries per day, roughly 70-80 deliveries per month
2 years' experience. Must have LDRP experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler? No

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Normal term deliveries, we also have high risk OBs that deliver Pre-term as young as 23 weeks

Patient Ratios: Couplets 3:1, Labors 1:1 when in active labor, Antepartums 2:1

Required Licensure & Certifications: MT or Compact License, ACLS, BLS NRP
Preferred: STABLE

Technology/Equipment: EMR: Meditech and Centricity , IV Pump: Baxter
Med dispensing: Pyxis

Floating: Level 3 NICU and Pediatrics, occasionally to adult floor as a safety sitter

Scheduling: self schedule- 6 week schedules
Weekend rotation: 5 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule (weekend shifts are Friday/Saturday night)
On call? No
Holiday Expectations: will be assigned to a holiday group. Requirement is the day before the holiday, day of holiday, and day after holiday
Schedule cycle: 6 weeks

Scrub Color: Hospital provided scrubs or scrubs of choice
