HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Denver, Colorado. This 13-week assignment requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts in the Labor and Delivery unit.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of acute care L&D experience and relevant certifications (BLS/ACLS/NRP). PACU/OR experience is a plus. Join a team of 148 with 29 beds and modern Meditech systems in a dynamic travel role.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring credentials.
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery care to obstetric patients.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure safe patient care.

• Number of Beds – 29 beds, 4 OR’s, 3 PACU Bays, 12 Antepartum rooms and 10 Triage rooms
• Number of Staff – 148
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift –22 RN’s, 2-3 CST’s,, 1 Charge and 1 Flex
  • Night Shift -20 RN’s, 1-2CST’s, 1 Charge and 1 Flex
• Patient ratios: 2:1
• Type of equipment – Centricity and GE monitors
• EMR – Meditech / CPN

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (FM) or AWHONN
• Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital L&D experience

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Meditech experience
• PACU experience
• OR experience

• Vaginal and c-sect deliveries, d&c, Hyst, PP tubal, cerclage placement and versions
• High risk OB
