Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a Travel Nurse RN in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Salem, Virginia. You will work 36 hours per week on a night shift, providing obstetric care in a travel capacity across healthcare facilities.

The role requires L&D and RN experience with responsibilities including labor support, patient monitoring, and collaborative teamwork to ensure safe deliveries and quick post-anesthesia recovery where applicable.

Qualifications

• IV insertion and lab draws are required.
• Experience with OB medications is important.
• Knowledge of obstetrical procedures and patient care essentials.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vaginal deliveries and delivery room setup.
• Provide circulator support for cesarean sections.
• Monitor obstetric patients and coordinate with the team.

Requested Skill Set

IV insertion, lab draws, JADA and BAKRI knowledge, blood administration, nitrous administration, experience with vaginal exams, setting up delivery tables for vaginal deliveries

Must have

Labor and delivery experience, strip interpretation, knowledge of common OB medications, circulator experience in C/S, PACU recovery experience for spinal anesthesia, antepartum triage, knowledge of common complications and treatments for obstetrical complaints, assist with epidural placement, teamwork approach to patient care
