Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position located in a maternity and well-baby nursery unit. This role involves providing specialized care for obstetric, postpartum, and neonatal patients, including high-risk pregnancies and NICU admissions. The position emphasizes adherence to AWHONN staffing standards and requires experience in obstetric nursing practices.

Job Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 2 years of recent hospital acute care experience in labor and delivery, certifications including ACLS (American Heart Association), AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS (American Heart Association), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program). Must have EPIC electronic health record experience within the last year, and must have worked with GE fetal monitors running Phillips OBTV software.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in LDRP unit, prior work with high-risk obstetric patients, and familiarity with neonatal transition nursery protocols.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes 2.5 days on the unit with a core staff preceptor; competency forms must be completed prior to independent shifts. All clinicians are required to clock in and out at the facility. The unit maintains a minimum staffing ratio aligned with AWHONN standards, including a charge nurse, Baby Advocate RN, and scrub tech. The unit is equipped with vents for neonatal transition, telemonitoring systems, and adjacent C-section operating rooms.
