Job summary

Arrow Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in Akron, Ohio. This role requires float between Labor & Delivery and Perinatal units, providing care to mothers and newborns on a high-acuity team.

The shift is nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of L&D experience, recent Epic EMR and phlebotomy experience, and holds an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months.
• Recent Phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months (must be listed on resume).
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program.
• Must be comfortable floating between units.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns on a high-acuity Mother/Baby/ Labor & Delivery team.
• Float between Labor & Delivery and Perinatal units as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and documentation per unit protocols.

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity Mother/Baby team. Travelers will float between Labor & Delivery and Perinatal units, providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Akron, OH
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Nights | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Unit Details

• 17-bed Labor & Delivery unit with birthing tubs
• 10 Perinatal beds
• Traveler expected to float between both units
• L&D Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
• Perinatal Ratios: 1:3 average, up to 1:4 depending on acuity

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months
• Recent Phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months (must be listed on resume)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Must be comfortable floating between units

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACL S
• PALS
• NRP
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
• STABLE Certification

The ideal RN is a confident Labor & Delivery nurse with strong newborn assessment skills, recent Epic and phlebotomy experience, and all required certifications who thrives in a team-oriented, high-acuity women's health setting.
