TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery position in Weston, West Virginia.

We are seeking Labor and Delivery RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Weston, WV. The right RN should have 3 years of recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.

Responsibilities

L&D Travel Nurses provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of a baby and must ensure medical and emotional needs are met throughout the birthing process. As an L&D RN, you'll be responsible for assisting physicians when epidurals or pain medications are administered, performing episiotomies, and preparing for cesarean deliveries.

Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor.
Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/lack of dilation.
Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids before and after the birthing process.
Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
Provide immediate care of newborn.

Qualifications

Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. Easily lift 20 pounds; may need to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements: ACLS, BLS, NRP, 2 Years. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
