Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU for a 10-week assignment in Springfield, MA. The role involves nights, 12-hour shifts, and a 48-hour week in a 32-bed ICU with float coverage to HVCC, SICU and IMC.

The candidate should have ACLS/BLS certifications and corresponding MICU/Level 1 ICU experience; nursing staff will be expected to handle complex critical care cases and post-arrest care. TotalMed RN offers travel opportunities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Massachusetts (implicit from role)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 1 year in a Level 1 ICU or 2 years MICU experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients during a 10-week travel assignment
• Float to Medical HVCC, SICU and IMC as needed
• Monitor and manage sepsis, ESRD, AKI and post-arrest care in a 32-bed ICU

Medical Intensive Care & Neuro Critical Care Units We are a 32 bed Medical ICU that also is licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients. We are split between 2 floors and have great staffing most times.

Unit Size/Beds: 32 Beds Expected Ratios: 1:2 or 1:1 if the acuity requires 1:1 Cases seen: SEPSIS, ESRD & AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH. Post cardiac arrest care, Respiratory Failure
